How much would you be willing to pay for a custom micro / pixel mosaic?
I learned a new craft very interesting; micro (or pixel) mosaics. I have the ability to create any image (any image or photo, or expand a small portion of one, especially nice for portraits) you want and a decent size is 12 "x 15", which has 18,000 mobile phones in the same pixels. I believe that an image of this size would take me approximately 50-55 hrs. to complete. the cost of materials is approximately $ 100.00. the media is plastic, not glass – but the size can be as small 3 "x 5" (approx. 6 hours) or as large as you want (time and material costs are adjusted accordingly). I would like to market these pictures as gifts customized for people (think weddings, treasured photos, anniversaries, realatives, etc. ..) finished products are frameable and quite surprising and unique. meet the cost of materials ($ 100.00 for 12 "x 15") and the time it takes (50-55 hours) to complete one of the 12 decent "x 15" in size, how would you be willing to pay for a commissioned work of art that makes sense to you?
$ 1000 to $ 1200 for a 12 x 15. individual out of them could have reason, but anyone can learn how to do a line now days. If you are good at it and specialize in this type of artwork, then go for it. paid as a saying for a custom print of an artist up to $ 1200 and I do not bother trying to figure out how to do it myself. Frankly, if need a professional to do it 55 hours, then would the non-professional and up to 4 times, as the saying time is money.
