Wht is a good pixel size for an online picture?

I know how to resize the picture and change how big it is (in bytes, kilobytes, megabytes, etc.), but what is a good pixel size for a picture that is about 200 kb? Probably to go on MySpace or Facebook.

First of all, set your resolution at 72 dots per inch. That is standard for screen displays. Anything bigger is used for printing only and makes hte file way too big.

All pictures that you upload to facebook are sized DOWN to about 600 pixels by 450 pixels. Smaller picture will appear at their native size, but all big ones are shrunk. You can save yourself a lot of bandwidth usage if you resize your pics to about these dimensions before uploading, since that’s the size they’re going to be anyway.
